Here are a few Ways, Moms/Housewives get a workout!
1) Taking kids on a walk up and down the hills in a double stroller.
Works: abs, arms, calves
2)Vacuuming the house.(includes moving furniture) Works: abs and arms
3)Vacuuming the house while holding or wearing a small child.
Works: same as #2 only harder and more sweatiness
4)Bouncing a baby all day long. Works: glutes, thighs, triceps
5)Dancing to crazy music and doing gymnastics with your child. Works: cardio
6)Lifting and carrying a car seat with a baby all over town. Works: biceps, triceps, abs
7)Loading and Unloading a 35 lb toddler and/or stroller in and out of the car.
Works: arms, abs, legs, ok-everything
Again- added workout if you are wearing an additional small child ( see #3)
8)Pouring 8 glasses of juice a day from a gallon and a half GLASS jug of organic apple juice that is kept on hand to satiate the ongoing thrist of a two year old. Works: biceps (major bicep curls)
9) Scrubbing toilets and bathtubs. Works: arms, legs, elbows, and core
10) Loading and unloading the dishwasher. Works: core,legs, and arms
11) Lifting a child in and out of their high chair, bed, or crib. Works: arms, core
12) Chasing a child around the house as they run away from you, because they don't want to obey or have their diaper changed. Works: cardio, patience
13)Bringing in and unloading enough groceries to keep all mouths in the house fed. Works: arms, organization skills
14) Breastfeeding.
Burns lots of calories, but adds to the amount of groceries. (See # 13 above)
14)Carrying overflowing laundry baskets. Works: arms, abs, hip
15) Kissing, tickling, snuggling. Works: lips,fingertips, heart
Who says you have to join a gym? You are a Mom! :)

ReplyDeleteSo cute, Maybe you should invite people over from the gym to help (with all but #14). Then they could get thier exercise plus get a huge blessing serving a precious, Godly Mother.
