Although my Dad has been up to the hospital many times to see me during my stay, he had yet to hold baby Eloise until yesterday. The NICU policies are very strict on visitors and they have all kinds of security checks in place. You can only have 4 registered visitors other than the parents on the books, whose names have to be given at the time of the birth.This does not include the parents.. Only 2 people are allowed in the NICU at a time and one of them has to be a parent. So... yesterday Bo and I went in for our daily visit and I nursed. Then Bo went and swapped out with my dad and he got to come and hold her.
It was really fun and she loved my dad. She smiled when she first heard his voice and she was so comfortable in his arms. She just kept cracking little smirks. he, he. He was surprised at how small she was. She truly looks so much bigger in the pictures than she does in real life. You can get a little bit of a reference on how small she is by looking at my Dad's hand in relation to hers, and my Dad's hands aren't even that big!! The crying pics are from when we were trying to undress her before the feeding. Her preemie onesie is too big for her!!!!
She is so sweet! Can't wait to meet her. So sad Sadie couldn't come play this week we have all been sick over here. We leave on town for a while on Sunday. Maybe Sadie can come play when we get back. We miss her and y'all. Praying for Eloise to come home!! XOXO
